Lorimer Fison (1932-1909) was a clergyman and anthropologist educated at Sheffield, Cambridge, and Melbourne. He relocated from England to Australia in 1856 and later served with the Australasian Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society in Fiji from 1863 to 1884. During that time he was Principal of the Training Institution for Natives at Navuloa.
